Health experience design

Great healthcare doesn't just need a solution. It needs an experience.

No medicine, innovation or service exists in isolation. That’s why we design health experiences around real lives, fusing human insight with creativity, service design and technology so your solution succeeds in the real-world.

Our belief

Experience matters.

You can have the best medicine, product or intervention in the world, but if no one engages with it, feels confident using it, or fits it into their real life it will not deliver its potential.

Context is everything. By understanding that context, we build experiences that ensure solutions are easier to adopt, more effective to use and more likely to make a lasting difference.

Because our experiences matter. A thoughtfully designed experience can change how we feel about our health and care. It can build trust, shape belief and support long-term behaviour change, moving people emotionally and practically towards better health.

Why we started Momentum
What we do

We design across all dimensions.

We combine behavioural science and human insight with service design, technology, communication and creativity, to ensure we consider everything that influences someone’s health experience.

What drives us

Focused on impact.

We are impact and outcomes led and are committed to responsible business. Every experience we create must deliver meaningful results for people, organisations, our society and planet.

Our approach

We need to look at the whole.

Momentum is holistic by design. We bring those experts together around one challenge, combining behavioural science, service and system design, brand, creativity and technology, so the experience holds together end to end.

Helen Balcombe, founder of Momentum Health Experience
Hello, I'm Helen

Ultimately, I think it's our experiences that really matter.

They shape our memories, leave their mark, and sit at the core of who we are.

I've worked in healthcare since 2007, and the part that has always pulled me in is experience design, the privilege of spending time with people to really understand what they are going through, and the creativity and care needed to change it for the better.

So I started Momentum to bring diverse experts together and design experiences with impact.
